1. Overview
1.1 Medebound HEALTH, headquartered in New York, USA, is an international medical services company specializing in U.S. second opinions, treatment coordination, and access to novel therapies in the US.
1.2 Medebound LLC is the contracting entity referred to herein as "the Company" or "Medebound HEALTH."
1.3 The client or their family member ("Client" or "User") seeks to obtain medical consultation and related services via the Medebound HEALTH platform ("Platform").
1.4 The Client voluntarily engages Medebound HEALTH for health management and consultation services. Any translated documents, reports, or advice are informational only. Decisions should be discussed with and confirmed by the patient’s local treating physician.
1.5 This agreement becomes effective upon execution and remains in force until the completion of services.
2. Physician-Patient Relationship and Disclaimer
2.1 The Company’s U.S. remote second opinion consultation service is provided for informational and reference purposes only. Any treatment decision shall be made by the client in consultation with their attending physician in their home country, with reference to the remote consultation report provided by Medebound HEALTH. The legal physician-patient relationship shall be established between the client and their local attending physician, not with the U.S. consulting physician.
2.2 If the client travels to the physician’s hospital and receives treatment directly from such physician, a direct physician-patient relationship shall be formed between the client and such physician, who shall independently bear corresponding legal responsibilities arising from the physician-patient relationship.
2.3 Medebound HEALTH’s services are intended to assist clients by providing diagnostic opinions that are as accurate as reasonably possible within the scope of the Company’s knowledge and capacity. However, the client acknowledges and agrees that reliance upon any information provided by Medebound HEALTH and its affiliates under this Agreement involves inherent risks.
2.4 The client acknowledges and agrees that the services under this Agreement are remote consultation services, which differ from conventional in-person physician-patient consultations. Under the remote consultation model, the consulting physician cannot physically examine the patient or directly observe the patient’s physical condition; therefore, the consulting physician may not be aware of certain facts or information, which may affect the diagnostic opinions and/or treatment recommendations provided.
The Company does not guarantee that the expert opinions will provide substantive benefit to the patient’s condition. The client understands that expert opinions do not replace in-person consultation with a local physician, and no guarantee is made regarding the effectiveness of any medical opinion.
Medebound HEALTH does not warrant that web-based consultation and remote medical conferencing are the most appropriate for the user’s specific health conditions. The client shall agree to promptly inform their local healthcare provider of any changes or worsening of symptoms, and to contact local emergency services immediately if necessary.
2.5 The client acknowledges and agrees that, for the reasons stated above, the diagnostic and treatment recommendations provided under this Agreement have inherent limitations in accuracy, and the client assumes corresponding medical risks accordingly.
3. Client Account and Medical Record Management
3.1 All services include the creation of a personal client account for storing medical information and service records.
3.2 Clients must provide complete and accurate medical documentation.
3.3 After service completion, Medebound HEALTH may use anonymized data for marketing or research, subject to identity protection.
